Turmeric – The Golden Goddess
I love the turmeric plant since I've known it. I remember that a few years ago, when I went to India, women on the roof next to my hostel dried turmeric and the earthy, very unique scent reached me. Just got there, I felt at home.
A mazed: This yellow root from this dark earth – where does this intense color come from?
In India, the turmeric is called "The Golden Goddess".
Their qualities are: she is the sun stored in a spice. It is the physical essence of the divine Mother. It balances all 3 doshas (Ayurveda).
It has so many health benefits that it would take years to highlight it if I chose one every day. Well, maybe that would be a nice practice. Warming, nourishing, loving, hugging, welcoming, healing…
REZEPT: Golden vegetable paste
I love to use this golden vegetable paste in the daily kitchen to connect to the qualities of the golden goddess. This recipe is very simple and brings the qualities of Golden Goddess to daily life.
INGREDIENTS: 300 g carrots, 200 g celery sticks, 1 onion peeled, 400 g celery, 50 g ginger root, 200 g sea salt, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 3 tablespoons turmeric, 1 tablespoon pepper (best Pippali)
Cut all ingredients and mix in a blender. Then fill the paste in a glass. You can keep them in the fridge for weeks. *The healing effect of turmeric in combination with pepper (Pippali) is much stronger.
Warm your heart with the golden goddess (whenever it suits you during the day or in the evening): Heat 250 ml of water and add 1 tablespoon of paste. Drink them slowly and connect with their power.
You can also use the paste for broth, soups and all kinds of dishes. A warm embrace by the golden goddess.
